About this Event

Urban hikes for mental health are for people aged 16+ who want to feel more connected to their surroundings, themselves and others.

The hikes will give you an opportunity to:

  • Discover London’s urban and natural spaces
  • Explore the connection between walking and wellbeing
  • Participate in a mindfulness practice
  • Engage in guided conversations on how to enhance your own mental wellbeing
  • Connect with others

The details

Start point: 9.45am Battersea for a prompt 10am departure (meeting point confirmed post booking)

End point: Barnes Bridge station, approx 4.30 - 5pm

Approximate mileage: 8 miles

Please note this is a whole day event which consists of walking, guided conversations about mental wellbeing and breaks.

Essential information for all urban hikes:

  • Bring your own lunch, snacks and plenty of water
  • Wear suitable footwear and comfortable clothing, and come prepared for all weathers
  • There are toilets and cafes/pubs at both the mid-point and the end point of all hikes
  • You may wish to bring something to sit on, as the guided conversations involve sitting on the ground
  • Your facilitator will carry a small first aid kit, however if there are any items you know you will need, please bring these with you
  • Urban hikes are suitable for those aged 16+. 16-17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult
  • Photos may be taken for marketing purposes however your consent will be sought before any photos of you are used
