UPLIFT™️ is a full-body workout that combines traditional strength moves with iconic music and sprinkles in some booty-shaking fun to create a unique fitness experience, resulting in increased muscular strength and endurance. UPLIFT™️ and SHiNE™️ Dance Fitness share two very important promises: inclusivity and consistency. In addition, we promise to bring you choreography set to iconic music, engaging playlists, hype, and measurable results.Equipment needed if participating in class from home:
3 Sets of weights (Light, Medium, Heavy*)
Resistance Bands (Light, Medium, Heavy)
Fabric Booty Band (Light, Medium, Heavy)
9 inch exercise ball
Mat
*General Weight Recommendations
Student New to Weight Training:
Light (1-3 lbs), Medium (3-5 lbs), Heavy (5-8 lbs)
Student Experienced with Weight Training:
Light (1-5 lbs), Medium (5-10 lbs), Heavy (10-15 lbs)
Melissa joined the SHiNE™ Dance Fitness community about three years ago and became certified as a SHiNE™ Dance Fitness Instructor in 2023 and UPLIFT™️ instructor in 2025.
