About this Event
A new initiative by Greenwood Rising designed to provide informative resources focused on social, political, and economic topics affecting the Black community. Each gathering will be thoughtfully planned to encourage meaningful, thought-provoking discussions that blend historical context with contemporary issues.
Join us as we welcome Jasmine Ball as she discusses how we can rebuild Black Wall Street through financial literacy and education.
Jasmine Renae Ball, CFP®, MSW, ABFP, CRC, is the founder of Bamboo Financial Partners and a passionate advocate for financial education and inclusivity. With over 13 years of experience, she is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Accredited Behavioral Finance Professional (ABFP), and Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC). Jasmine opened her firm in Tulsa and became Oklahoma’s first African-American female CFP® in 2022. Featured in Forbes and The New York Times, she uses her platform to promote financial literacy and wealth-building strategies. Jasmine is also dedicated to community impact, serving on several boards and offering complimentary financial planning to underserved communities.
She will be accompanied by Brentom Todd, who will offer his valuable perspective.
Brentom Todd has recently been appointed Deputy Chief of Staff to Mayor Nicholas. With over 10 years of leadership experience, he has been a visionary force in various organizations. A graduate of The University of Tulsa with a degree in Business Management, specializing in Entrepreneurship and Family-Owned Business, Brentom previously served as the Community Outreach Manager at Atento Capital, where he connected portfolio companies with the Tulsa community. He is also the founder of BTD, a consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations and entrepreneurs succeed through strategic vision cultivation. He is passionate about strategizing to help communities, people, organizations, startups, and entrepreneurs succeed.

She opened her firm in Tulsa and has been dedicated to helping inspire and educate the Tulsa Community. Jasmine is Oklahoma's first Black woman CFP®. Her work has been featured in the Oklahoma Eagle, Journal Record, Silicon Review, and other publications, where she uses her platform to financial education and give back to the community. Brenton Todd is the founder of BTD, a consulting company dedicated to cultivating the visions of individuals and organizations. With over 10 years of leadership experience, he has consistently helped empower others to achieve their goals. Recently appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff to Mayor Monroe Nicholas, Brenton brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for driving positive change in both the public and public sector.
