Celebrate Mike Strain entering the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame

Mike Strain joins 51 other current and former Tulsa World newsroom staff members in the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame. Come have a drink with Mike and toast him before his induction. The happy hour at the Bramble in the Pearl District starts at 5 p.m. Food will be provided by 3 Sirens Restaurant Group and there will be a cash bar.

This is a fundraiser for the Tulsa Press Club, which is focused on building an engaged community through the pursuit and support of ethical journalism.

It's a free event for members but please RSVP at the ticket link. Nonmembers please purchase a ticket to the event with the money going to the Tulsa Press Club.

About Mike Strain: Strain joined the Tulsa World in 2005 as sports editor, became news editor in 2011 and managing editor in 2014. He joined The Oklahoman as a sports agate clerk in 1990 and left 15 years later as deputy sports editor before coming to Tulsa. Strain was the Oklahoma Press Association president in 2020. He retired from journalism in 2020 to run his family's farm in Bray.
