About this Event

Have you ever thought about how we can reclaim publicly funded spaces like museums? How might we challenge their curation practices, question the stories they tell, and critically engage with what they choose to display, and what they leave out?

Parents for Palestine and the Fossil Free Science Museum coalition have come together to create an alternative tour of the Science Museum. Through the perspective of parents and educators actively calling out the museum’s funding links with Adani, we will explore untold stories revealing the institution’s role in the destruction of life, communities, and land in Palestine and in India.

This will be an engaging and interactive experience for children and families alike.

In small groups, we’ll explore the galleries, ask critical questions, and learn to view exhibitions from different angles. We’ll reflect on whose stories are centred, whose are erased, and how public spaces can become sites of collective learning and resistance.

This tour is suitable for children aged 6+. Siblings are welcome but note that the tour was created for 6+ children.

How You Can Join:

• Please choose a time slot. The tour lasts one hour.
• Please book a ticket for each adult and each child.
• First entry at 2.30pm; last entry at 4.30pm.
• More details including the exact meeting point will be sent closer to the date

Join us in reclaiming the Science Museum as a truly public space and call on the museum to end its sponsorship ties with Adani.

** This event is organised by volunteers. It takes a lot of effort to put up an engaging learning experience for our children. It is really important that we know the number of participants. If you book tickets but can not make it anymore, please cancel your tickets or send us a message.

Tickets are free. Donations are welcome to help cover the costs of the event.
