About this Event

The Wills Memorial Building Tower on Queen's Road is one of Bristol's most iconic neo-Gothic landmarks. Your tours will provide you with a unique insight into the history of the building and take you to the top of the tower to hear the Great George chime and enjoy expansive views some 68 meters above Park Street.

Timings and tours

Tours will take place at 9:30 am, 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm.

The tour will take approximately 45 minutes.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour and check in at the Welcome Desk in the Wills Memorial Building.

Accessibility details

The tour involves climbing approximately 350 narrow, spiral steps with no lift access to the top of the tower. As such, the tour is unfortunately not suitable for those with mobility issues or children under 8 years old. Sensible footwear is recommended.

Celebrating 150 years and the opening of TQEC

This event is part of a public programme of events on Saturday 10 October, to celebrate the University of Bristol’s 150th year and the opening of our new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus. The Clifton campus and TQEC will be open throughout the day, with opportunities to explore, discover and celebrate with friends and family. This is a free event and everyone is welcome.
