Unique sound experience: Grand piano and sound bath meditation
About this Event
There is a moment after a piano note when the sound hasn't quite left the room.
You can feel it before you can name it. That's the space we're making room for.
Tuning In is a 90-minute sound experience held in the candlelit heritage beauty of the Thomas Dixon Centre in West End, Brisbane.
The afternoon moves through three gentle moments — each one building on the last, each one asking a little less of you than the one before.
We open with
A guided breath and sound meditation to help you arrive — really arrive — and leave the day at the door. Sound carries you in. Your breath does the rest.
We move into
Live improvised piano — unhurried, responsive to the room. A grand piano at the centre, you on the floor around it, candlelight doing what it does. Some people close their eyes and go somewhere quiet. Some just watch the candles. All of it belongs here.
We close with
Tea served to you, right where you're sitting. A quiet moment to come back slowly.
What to bring
— A cushion to sit on or lay your head on. Essential, please don't forget it
— An eye mask if you'd like to close your eyes and go deeper into the sound
— Yourself, exactly as you are today
What to expect
— 90 minutes of guided breathwork, live piano and stillness in a candlelit heritage space
— A floor-seated, sensory experience, no movement or participation required
— Tea served to you at the close
— No background in meditation, breathwork or sound healing needed
