Understanding Autism: A Film & Panel Event Celebrating Autism Awareness

Join us for an evening celebrating Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month, highlighting the experiences of Deaf individuals with Autism. The event will start with a screening of the documentary Understanding Autism, offering insights into the diverse experiences of those on the Autism spectrum. Enjoy snacks and refreshments such as popcorn, nachos, and other snacks throughout the evening.

After the documentary, stay for an engaging panel discussion with Deaf individuals who are also on the Autism spectrum. They will share their personal stories, discussing the unique challenges of navigating both Deaf culture and the world of Autism. Their perspectives will offer a deeper understanding of how these identities intersect and the strengths they bring to the world.
