In this unique workshop, we’ll draw upon techniques from the worlds of yoga and psychotherapy.
This isn’t a workshop about just being calm.
We need to be able to act and respond to different events in our lives, and we need that part of our nervous system to help us to do so.
But in a society that focuses on productivity, and being ‘on' all the time, we can get locked in to that state, and hormones such as cortisol can stay in our systems for longer than needed.
This can lead to exhaustion and sometimes chronic conditions that can be debilitating.
In this workshop - we’ll learn how to toggle skilfully between the different states of our nervous system, so that we can take appropriate action when it is needed. And we’ll learn techniques from both the worlds of psychotherapy and yoga to help us switch off.
The workshop is facilitated by myself and an amazing UKCP registered psychotherapist Lynn Boudreau. We'll bring both our skills to this fascinating area of the human mind and body.
The studio is fully equipped with mats, bolsters, blocks, eye masks. Simply turn up and we’ll provide refreshments too.
The cost of the workshop is £45, and spaces are limited to 10 people.
