Power Up Gets Creative!
Creativity is a great way to express yourself and feel well! Meeting people while learning new things can also be a great equaliser and confidence boost. Our weekly creative wellbeing group is designed for young people looking to learn new creative skills to express themselves with the support from instructors and our wellbeing team!
We will cover a variety of different activities over the year but each will be under full instruction from a Lark Design Make resident Tutor - check the agenda for details on each session!
So get ready get creative, meet other young people in the area and learn new skills! - this group is also supported by fully trained and DBS checked wellbeing workers who are happy to help young people get comfortable in a new environment!
Support to finance and arrange transport can be discussed.
PLEASE NOTE:
There is a studio dog on site by the training organisation, so please beware in case of allergies and or phobias - info on her here: https://www.larkdesignmake.co.uk/gwen
Signing up gives you access to one session at a time - so if you want to go every week, you need to make sure to sign up each time - that way we can make sure to work around YOUR schedule :)
We will need to gain parental/guardian consent for young people under 18.

Wed 2nd April 2025 - Soap Making
Info: You will have time to make one large soap and a selection of small travel soaps from a fab selection of moulds, natural ingredients, scents, pigments and essential oils. There will also be time to package your soaps
Wed 9th April 2025 - Embroidery
Info: Learn new embroidery stitches at Lark and add personalisation to a pencil case or toiletries bag.
Wed 16th April 2025 - NO SESSION FOR EASTER BREAK
Wed 23rd April 2025 - Lip Balm Making
Info: Create 5-6 lip balms, you will be using all natural ingredients including beeswax (vegan alternative also available) coconut, olive or almond oil and you will also get to choose your own colours and scents from loads of lovely choices
Wed 30th April 2025 - Leather Journals
Info: Come and craft at Lark and create a very unique reusable mini leather journal from recycled leather. There will be lots of accessories available to personalise your makes too.
Wed 7th May 2025 - Mosaics pt 1 (MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR BOTH SESSIONS)
Info: Create a mosaic frame or dish over 2 weeks using colourful glass tiles, It is essential that you are available for 2 consecutive weeks (Part 2 - 14th May) as in part 2 you will be grouting and cleaning your creation.
Wed 14th May 2025 - Mosaics pt 2 (MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR BOTH SESSIONS)
Info: Create a mosaic frame or dish over 2 weeks using colourful glass tiles, It is essential that you are available for 2 consecutive weeks (Part1 - 7th May) as in part 2 you will be grouting and cleaning your creation.
Wed 21st May 2025 - Wire Butterfly
Info: Join us to create a stunning butterfly from copper wire and beads, your creation makes a great plant buddy
Wed 28th May 2025 - Wire Words & Shapes
Info: Create unique shapes and words using a clever technique using wire and rope, you can let your imagination run wild.
