An afternoon of storytelling and story-making for anyone interested in how stories, imagination and conversation pave the path to peace.
About this Event

Come and explore tales of trees, community, conflict, and reconciliation, with three events facilitated by The Mint House with traditional storyteller and restorative justice facilitator Hannah Moore.

13:00-14:00 - Tongues of Trees

An hour of folk and fairy tales from around the world on the restorative themes of growth and repair.

£5 or pay what you can.

16:00-18:00 - The Tree of Stories - A creative workshop for adults and young people who want to explore how stories and storytelling support community building, conflict resolution and restorative justice.

Our traditional tales are full of insight into how we can cultivate compassion and heal the rifts that trouble our world. In spending time with these stories, we can both nourish ourselves and equip ourselves for the challenges we face in our personal and collective lives.

No experience in storytelling or restorative practice required, just bring your curiosity and imagination.

The session will include:

  • Traditional tales to explore
  • Creative exercises and creative writing
  • Reflection
  • Conversation and discussion
  • Story-making for a reparative world

£5 or pay what you can.

19:00 - An Evening of Music - An evening of music from local artists set within the Trees exhibition, with some interactive elements.

Free.

Register now for one, two, or all three events.
