Welcome to another season of the Traveling Bright Red Bookshelf at Wisner Market!
Join the Family Reading Partnership of Chemung Valley every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, beginning July 1, at Wisner Market in Elmira. Families can browse hundreds of free books, enjoy our reading area, and take home books to build their own home libraries.
We’re also excited to welcome back Story Time at the Park! On select Wednesdays from 10:00–10:30 AM, in partnership with Steele Memorial Library, we’ll feature special guest readers and themed book giveaways.
Volunteers Needed
We are looking for volunteers to help make this program a success!
Volunteer opportunities include:
* Helping children and families select age appropriate, high interest books
* Assisting with our browsing area and read aloud activities
* Setting up and taking down tents, tables, and books before and after the market
Whether you can volunteer once or throughout the summer, your time makes a difference and helps put books into the hands of children across our community.
