A nephew visits his uncle’s grave at a US cemetery in Belgium and discovers profound appreciation and honor of American sacrifice by a young Belgian family tending American graves. This launches him on a journey of discovery to find not only details about his uncle’s B-24 crew and mission, but about their families and the true meaning of sacrifice. Along the way, he visits the airfield in England where the B-24 crew was based and finds dedicated British locals who honor their American cousins to this day, and discovers a dedicated Dutch historian who knows more about the story than anyone.
