About

This 1-day workshop follows on from Introduction to Trauma.


This workshop will help staff understand their work through a trauma informed lens. Participants learn the principles of trauma informed practices, how to respond in trauma informed ways to avoid re-traumatisation. Participants will have time for questions and answers and will leave with a workbook, a trauma informed model to apply and increased confidence to deliver their work in a trauma informed manner.


What will you learn:

· Increase trauma-informed literacy

· Strengthening participants' ability to see through a trauma-informed lens

· Develop confidence in using trauma-informed language

· Practice specific skills to respond in a trauma-informed manner

· Apply the Trauma Informed Practice model to your work



Who should attend?

This workshop is for participants who have successfully completed an Intro to Trauma as a prerequisite.

Trauma Informed Practice is for people whose work involves contact with staff, customers or clients who may have been traumatised.


What is Included?

· Tea, coffee and catered morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is included.

· Participants will leave with a comprehensive participant manual with references for further reading and a toolbox of practical resources.


How much will this cost me?

LGAT is funded by the Tasmanian Government, Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPaC), which provides subsidized funding for the LGAT learning and development program.
