About this Event
NOTE: Please note that the venue may change within the next few days so please watch your email for any announcements. It will be in a Central or East Manchester location, potentially in Ardwick, Clayton, Hulme, or Gorton.
Moving from primary school to high school is an important life event and can be a positive and exciting time. Yet some children require additional support. Children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) often find transition more challenging than their peers.
This workshop is for parents/carers of children in Years 4, 5 and 6. It is based on research into what makes for a successful transition. It will cover:
- Some practical approaches that schools can use to support a smooth transition
- How parents / carers can prepare and support their children for the move to high school
There will be time alloted for questions and discussion.
