The last in a 4-part workshop series: Transition to Kindergarten.
Supportive relationships can make the kindergarten year more manageable for children and caregivers alike.
This workshop will explore how families can build positive connections with teachers, other caregivers, and community resources while creating a balanced routine for the school year.
We will explore:
- Building positive parent-teacher partnerships
- Communicating questions or concerns respectfully
- Connecting with other parents and caregivers
- Finding community supports and resources
- Balancing school, activities, family time, and rest
- Creating manageable family routines
- Keeping expectations around learning milestones realistic
Participants will leave with greater confidence engaging with the school community and practical strategies for building a strong support network.
Childminding is available with advance registration. Please reserve one childminding ticket for each child requiring care.
