Don Weber leads this weekend workshop on building traditional gates and hurdles (fences).
Day 1 involves walking Don's farm as he helps identify ideal wood for constructing a fence.
Day 2 - you build that fence! This is a great class for beginners. Get some hands on with hand tools, green wood, basic construction and learning about the craft in an agricultural context.
Don Weber, the Bodger of Paint Lick, is a traditional woodworker, furniture and fly-rod maker. We've been lucky to have him leading workshops for the past three years through our traditional craft program. Do not miss this opportunity!
Minimum age: 16 (adult must be present for minors).
This is a pay what you can event, with limited seats - there WILL be waitlists. Furniture classes are usually pretty expensive, and our volunteer group puts in untold hours prepping for these workshops with our instructors - we encourage you to give what you are able to (even if that's $0). Our grant with Berea College allows us to do what we can to make these events as accessible as possible.
Our event system does not allow for sliding scale pricing - please pay through our Paypal account (credit cards accepted) or through cash at the door.
We WILL be reaching out as the event approaches to make sure you can still attend, if you've signed up.
