About this hike

Join us for Group Hike #3 — a scenic circular trail through the beautiful Chiltern Hills, starting and ending at Tring station.

Under an hour from London by train, this is the perfect way to escape the city, stretch your legs, and spend a day in the countryside with great company.

The route

We’ll be covering approximately 8 miles through the Chiltern Hills — one of the most beautiful areas of countryside within easy reach of London.

Expect ancient hillforts, woodland paths, chalk grasslands, and sweeping views.

The trail is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness — there are some hill climbs so sturdy footwear is ideal!

∙ 📍 Meeting point 1: London Euston Station, upstairs by LEON - upper level, from 09:00 — train departs 09:25

∙ 📍 Meeting point 2: Tring Station, carpark bridge entrance, by 10:05

∙ 🥾 Distance: approx 8 miles

∙ ⏱ Moving time: 3–4 hours depending on pace

∙ 🏁 Finishing back at Tring station approximately 14:00–14:30

∙ 🚂 Group return train to London Euston — arrivals approximately 15:00–15:30 for those heading back together

🚂 Train from London Euston at 09:25, arriving Tring at 10:02

∙ With railcard: approximately £15

∙ Without railcard: approximately £22

🚗 Driving? All-day Sunday parking at Tring station is approximately £7

What to bring

∙ Sturdy walking shoes or boots — there are some hill climbs so good footwear makes a difference!

∙ Layers — we’ll be outside for a few hours

∙ Plenty of water

∙ Packed lunch or sandwich and snacks for the trail

∙ A waterproof jacket just in case

This is a relaxed-paced, sociable hike — we’re not racing to the finish line!

Expect good conversation, the occasional stop to appreciate the view, and the kind of afternoon that leaves you feeling genuinely recharged.

Our group hikes are tailored for people in their 20s & 30s or anyone young at heart!

Whether you’re coming solo or with a friend, you’ll be made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
