Class Description: This session will provide tips and pearls for assessing patients with possible acute ischemic stroke in the field.
Presenter: Felipe De Los Rios la Rosa, MD, FAHA
Bio:
Dr. De Los Rios is a board certified Vascular Neurologist, Medical Director of the Baptist Health South Florida Stroke Program and the Irma Bass Endowed Chair in Stroke Neurology. The program includes Baptist Hospital of Miami, an AHA Gold Plus – Honor Roll Elite Plus awardee, Joint Commission certified, comprehensive stroke center. It also includes two certified primary stroke centers, and three stroke ready hospitals. He is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Florida International University. His medical degree is from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia located in Lima, Peru, and underwent his Neurology residency and Vascular Neurology fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. Dr De Los Rios has authored 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals and regularly presents at National and International meetings.
