Class Description: Brief discussion about early trauma care in Miami Dade County and the development and disbandment of the trauma network in the 1980's. It will highlight MDC's need for a dedicated trauma program and center in response to the increasing trauma patient volume. This presentation will also include lessons learned from conflict and natural disasters.
