Looking for a weeknight reason to celebrate celluloid? Join us at The Mahoning Drive-In Theater for Thursday Thread-Up! From grindhouse to arthouse, cult classics to deep cuts, we present a series of single-feature 35mm screenings several Thursday nights a month, to get you ready for the weekend!
Get ready to take a deep dive into the murky depths of cinema history, lighting up the mighty Mahoning screen with singular sensations several times a month, all season long!
Shakespeare’s romantic tragedy is transposed to the modern day, retaining The Bard’s original dialogue as Romeo (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Juliet (Claire Danes) find a love that bridges the violent gap between their warring families, here sporting guns instead of swords, fighting over control of Verona Beach, CA.
Directed with visual flair by Baz Luhrmann, and featuring a full clip of familiar faces, including Paul Sorvino, Paul Rudd, Brian Dennedy, Harold Perrineau, John Leguizamo, and M. Emmet Walsh!
Gates open at 6pm. Showtime At Sundown.
