On Sunday, April 13th, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater pays tribute to the late Tony Todd with a 35mm screening of his most iconic role, that of the ghostly murderous (and murderously ghostly) hooked-handed boogeyman who haunts the halls of Chicago’s Cabrini Green…CANDYMAN (1992)!Say his name five times and he will appear, says the legend. Grad student Virginia Madsen investigates the truth behind the myth, and finds the long-whispered warnings to be all too true in Bernard Rose’s 90s shocker, based on a story by horror icon Clive Barker.
