See a rugged hero with a laser lance and his hairy pal battle a black-clad villain to save a princess in distress, and bring peace to the universe!
No, we’re not showing THAT film, but we ARE showing Mel Brooks’ classic spoof of THAT film, SPACEBALLS (1987), a special “May The Schwartz Be With You” Sunday celebration of the greatest sci-fi comedy of the 80s!
Join us for a trip through the warring stars with Bill Pullman as the mostly-heroic Lone Star, his co-pilot mawg (half-man, half-dog) pal Barf (John Candy), out to rescue Princess Vespa (Daphne Zuniga) from the evil Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis), with spiritual guidance from the diminutive 2000-year-old green man Yogurt (Mel Brooks).
The gags fly faster than hyperspace in this fan fave flick that skewers STAR WARS and other 60s-80s sci-fi classics. Featuring a galaxy of stars, including George Wyner, Michael Winslow, Joan Rivers, Jim J. Bullock, and Dick Van Patten!
