About this Event
Through the Lens: Mindful Photo Walk at Fort Canning
Fort Canning has stories written in light and shadow. The question is whether we are moving fast enough to see them.
Through the Lens: Mindful Photo Walk is a small-group photography experience that invites you to slow down, look more intentionally, and discover images you would normally walk past. Set against the layered history of Fort Canning, from the weathered granite of the old fort wall to the colonial grandeur of Raffles Terrace and the iconic colour of Old Hill Street Police Station, this walk offers a rich and varied canvas for practising the art of mindful seeing.
This is not a photography tour. It is a guided learning experience with hands-on guidance throughout the walk, focused on light, shadow, and composition, with techniques you can apply immediately, regardless of what camera you bring.
Bring your phone, your mirrorless, your DSLR, or whatever you love to shoot with. What matters is not the gear but the intention behind the frame.
Places are limited to 8 participants to ensure you receive guidance and feedback as you explore. If you have been looking for a reason to slow down, see your city differently, and grow as a photographer in good company, this is it.
