A series of movement workshops designed to work with the body as a biodynamic container of consciousness and creativity.
About this Event

This workshop series offers genuine dialogues with self and other, embedded in the somatic approach. Experientially, we will explore how nervous system awareness and creative movement shape our capacity for connection and relationship.

  • Polyvagal theory
  • Psychophysical systems


Programme and Content:

Session 1 (14 Jun, 2.30-5.30pm): Developmental movement patterns. Mapping movement to our developmental process & nervous system states. Regulation vs Dysregulation


Session 2 (21 Jun, 2.30-5.30pm): Fascia and nervous system connection. Interoception, proprioception, neuroception. Myofascial meridiens in touch & movement


Session 3 (28 Jun, 2.30-5.30pm): Muscular vs organ-based movement. Trauma and bracing patterns. Organs as support and emotional regulation

About the Facilitator:

An explorer of body–mind integration for over 25 years, Daphne Chua pursues lifelong inquiry as a Somatic Movement Educator.

Her vast experience allows her to weave principles of developmental movement, kinesiology, embodied anatomy and physiology, somatics, and trauma-informed nervous system research into her work.

Daphne has worked with people of all ages to rehabilitate injuries, restore neuromotor function, manage chronic pain, and cultivate deeper self-inquiry within trauma-informed settings.

  • No prior movement experience is required
  • This training is open to therapists, movers, and anyone curious about how the body holds, expresses, and transforms experience
