About this Event
Join us Saturday, April 18th, 2-4pm at the beautiful Heron Hall at Laguna de Santa Rosa for a free screening event, community discussion and nature walk inspired by the new documentary , produced by Ken Burns, featuring Jeff Goldblum and Goerge Clooney. This special gathering explores themes of environmental stewardship, expanding access to nature, and the timeless quest for an authentic life - core ideas rooted in the philosophy of Thoreau.
Following the screening, enjoy a moderated panel discussion featuring Jack Hines, Soundscape Ecologist and host of Ear to the Wild, and Meilin Tsao, a Sebastopol rancher and environmental steward. Together, they’ll reflect on how these ideas come to life through their work and experiences here in Sonoma County.
We’ll conclude the afternoon with a guided nature walk through the native plant garden on the grounds - an opportunity to connect more deeply with the landscape that inspires this conversation.
This event offers a unique blend of film, discussion, and outdoor experience - inviting our community to engage, reflect, and reconnect with the natural world. We hope to see you there! This event is free, but space is limited - RSVP today!
