About this Event
Celebrate Earth Day by joining us and Ag + Open Space at the Laguna Environmental Center (LEC)! Volunteers will help care for our native plant demonstration garden, where visitors come to learn how native plants support pollinators, wildlife, and healthy ecosystems. Your hands-on work helps maintain vibrant habitat, connect people with nature, and support Sonoma County’s conserved lands in a meaningful, lasting way.
No experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and curiosity about native plants. We’ll provide training, tools, and plenty of hearty snacks. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. All ages are welcome. Only heavy rain cancels—we hope to see you there!
The LEC is protected by a conservation easement, a legal agreement that limits development and ensures the property continues to preserve its natural and educational values for the community and wildlife.
There is no charge for this event. It is made possible by the taxpayers of Sonoma County, who fund the work of Ag + Open Space through a quarter-cent sales tax.
