On Tuesday, May 26th, Sankofa Haus becomes a portal — a living, breathing reminder that jazz has always been more than music. It’s movement.

It’s storytelling. It’s freedom. And right now, across the South Bronx, jazz is finding its voice again: in new rooms, new audiences, and new rhythms that honor the past while speaking boldly to the present.

Leading each Months edition of Third Ave Jazz is Adriel Vincent-Brown — a Trinidadian-born drummer, composer, and bandleader based in New York City. Vincent-Brown curates the evening through Jazz & Apple Pie, a multidisciplinary creative company curating experiences where live music, movement, visual art, and wellness meet. Known for his dynamic fusion of jazz, soul, hip-hop, and Caribbean rhythms, Vincent-Brown represents exactly what this resurgence is about: honoring tradition while expanding the sound forward.

This will be an IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE with projection mapping transforming our walls . Sankofa Haus is proud to host this moment in the South Bronx — because music and art don’t just reflect culture… they shape it.
