Alex Ventling & Phelan Burgoyne, ‘THE VIEW’
A special concert from an exciting European jazz duo: British drummer, Phelan Burgoyne, joins forces with New Zealand rising-star pianist, Alex Ventling, on their album-release tour ‘THE VIEW’.
The duo have been collaborating over 8 years, showcasing their music across Europe, New Zealand and now Asia. The interweaving of piano and drums in the intimate duo setting, opens the door to a vast sound-world of possible colours and textures, giving the pair freedom and space to explore and improvise together. The connection built over years of musical friendship is unmistakable in their subtle and mature interplay.
Expect a bold statement with European elegance – a refreshing addition to what we may know as 'jazz'.

To keep live music going and to support our artists and musicians, there is a minimum spend of $38++ per guest for all Maduro Music evenings.
Your ticket includes $38 credits to be used on beverages only and will be used to offset your beverage bill at the end of the evening.
Live music will begin at 8.30pm.
