The Uncanny: What Remains
About this Event
Join Us for The Uncanny: What Remains!
What lingers after an event has passed?
The Uncanny: What Remains brings poetry, installation and sound into a shared space. Developed as a curatorial project by Lili Xue in collaboration with artists Subin Gang and Rebecca Rae, the exhibition explores what lingers when words, memories and presences begin to dissolve. Through material responses, sound, and fragments of text, visitors are invited to move slowly through an atmosphere shaped by absence, translation and uncertainty.
Slow down — you have already arrived.
Presented in the Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) Studio at The Glasgow School of Art, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect and create their own connections with the space.
Come if you are curious about language, translation, memory, uncertainty, and the spaces between things, and how artistic collaboration can shape new ways of experiencing them.
Come to encounter fragments, emerging ideas and an experiment that does not ask you to arrive at a single definition of the uncanny.
