A lonely planet. A shattered world. A storm waiting to break.
This September, The Lantern presents The Tempest in a striking new adaptation by Nick Tait. Shakespeare’s much-loved classic is reimagined in an eerie, otherworldly setting at the far edge of civilisation.
On this desolate planet, Prospero rules with intelligence, bitterness and brilliance, shaping events through magic and cunning. When old enemies appear on the horizon, revenge and forgiveness collide in a story where nothing will ever be the same again.
Full of wonder, humour and human heart, The Tempest is a thrilling tale of power, redemption and second chances, brought to you in the intimate setting of The Lantern Theatre, Sheffield’s oldest theatre.
Shakespeare at The Lantern is always popular, so early booking is strongly recommended.
