Then, join us for our lecture this September, in partnership with The Classical Association.

On Monday 14 September 2026, we are delighted to welcome Professor Ingo Gildenhard to our school, for a special talk, all about Virgil's Aeneid and Augustan Rome.

Virgil's Aeneid is a 12-book Latin epic (29-19 BC), narrating the journey of the Trojan hero Aeneas and the legendary origins of Rome.

Professor Ingo Gildenhard teaches Classics at King's College, University of Cambridge. His research focuses on Latin literature, Roman culture and the classical tradition.
