Walk Length: Approx 4.5miles, can be shortened.
Particpant Expected Fitness Level: Moderate - A moderate level of fitness required. Mainly good paths but with a few fairly uneven sections and steps There will be options to shorten the walk

Full Description: See the visible remains of woodland activities from early stone markings, coppicing, charcoal production and white coal Q pits, mining for coal and ganister to timber plantings and present day ponds ‘slowing the flow’
The walk will include a break at the Discvery centre. However as the cafe is closed on the day of the walk, please bring own drink /snack to enjoy on this break.
Public Transport
Parking: free parking on both sides of Abbeydale Road by the entrance. Public transport : bus stop from town approx 100yds beyond the starting point 218 - Interchange 10:10 and 97 -Arundale Gate 10:10 Will both arrive about 10.30 Dore and Totley station about 500 metres from the start. Train from Sheffield 10.14 arrives at 10.21
