About this Event

Join members of the Plastic Free Pinellas Coalition for a free community screening of the Emmy-award winning documentary The Story of Plastic.

Through this event, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the environmental and social impacts of plastic production and waste, connect with local leaders working to address these challenges, and learn how you can take action toward a more sustainable, plastic-free future.

Following the film, attendees are invited to stay for a brief panel discussion featuring local experts who will answer questions and share insights on microplastics, human health impacts, plastics policy, and solutions for reducing plastic pollution.

About the film:

The Story of Plastic is a searing exposé revealing the ugly truth behind plastic pollution and the false solution of plastic recycling. Different from every other plastic documentary you’ve seen, The Story of Plastic presents a cohesive timeline of how we got to our current global plastic pollution crisis and how the oil and gas industry has successfully manipulated the narrative around it.

Featuring communities on the frontlines of pollution and the growing global movement for change, The Story of Plastic offers an eye-opening look at one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time.
