Emerson and Friends Coastal Cleanup: South Gandy Beach

Join Emerson and Friends in partnership with Keep Pinellas Beautiful for a cleanup at South Gandy Beach on Saturday, July 18th! Volunteers will assist with cleaning the shoreline and mangroves to preserve this vital ecosystem. We can't wait to see you there!

Emerson and Friends is a children's apparel brand based in Clearwater, Florida, specializing in bamboo pajamas, clothing, and accessories for babies, kids, and families.

As a Florida-founded company, protecting the natural beauty of our local community is a cause that's close to our hearts. We are proud partners of Clearwater Marine Aquarium and support their sea turtle conservation efforts through our Save the Sea Turtles collection, which helps fund the Protect the Nest program. Through this partnership, we've seen firsthand the importance of preserving our beaches, waterways, and wildlife for future generations.

We're excited to partner with Keep Pinellas Beautiful for the Emerson and Friends Coastal Cleanup and bring our community together to help keep Pinellas beautiful.

After the cleanup, be sure to stop by the Emerson and Friends tent to enjoy refreshments, enter our giveaway, and pick up a few goodies as a thank-you for helping keep our beaches beautiful.

Volunteers under the age of 18 need to be signed in by a parent or guardian. Volunteers under the age of 15 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event.

WHERE TO MEET: We will meet at South Gandy Beach, east of The Getaway about halfway down the beach (See map below). Look for the direction signs, table, and tent!

TIME: Cleanup will begin at 9:00 am. Please arrive a few minutes early to sign in.

WHAT TO WEAR: Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes such as boots or sneakers, sun protection, and weather appropriate clothing.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Cleanup supplies will be provided. A water refill station will be available, please bring a reusable water bottle. Volunteers are required to sign our waiver upon arrival. There are no public restrooms onsite.

PARKING: Free parking is available along the shoreline and grass.
