The Return of The Nylon Threaders: Sewing With Friends

Join the Retreat Center staff for four unforgettable days of sewing, laughter, and friendship at The Nylon Threaders 2026 retreat! This incredible group of ladies first met in 2023 and can't wait to return to Hamilton, MO this March. Whether you bring your own fabric or shop at one of our 13 quilt shops, you'll have all you need for the exciting projects we’ve lined up. You can also bring your sewing machine or reserve one of ours online—whichever you prefer!

Don’t forget to bring projects to work on, as we love seeing what everyone is creating. There’s plenty of time for open sewing, the perfect opportunity to tackle those UFOs (unfinished objects)! Plus, our Thursday night Show & Tell is always a highlight of the week. While participation is optional, it’s a great chance to share something special you’ve made, either before or during the retreat. The stories behind these creations always bring out all the warm and fuzzy feelings.

In addition to hours of sewing, you’ll enjoy lots of fellowship, fun, and of course, shopping. Whether you need a break or want to browse, Missouri Star’s 13 quilt shops have you covered!

What to Expect From Us:

Sleeping Rooms - 10 rooms are upstairs and are shared - there are no private rooms available and a chair lift is available for assistance. There are two ADA rooms available upon request. Please call 816-265-1812 to reserve these rooms.

Meals - Please note that lunches will no longer be provided during our regular retreats.

For Early Bird Arrivals:

• Monday evening: A light dinner will be served.
• Tuesday morning: Enjoy a continental breakfast.

For All Guests:

Tuesday evening: Dinner will be served.

Wednesday & Thursday: Continental breakfast and dinner will be provided.

Friday morning: A hot farewell breakfast awaits before your departure!

Sewing Machines -

• Feel free to bring your own machine (and all cords!).
• Alternatively, reserve one of our machines for the duration of your stay, free of charge.
• If you need a rental machine, please indicate this on your registration form.

Workshop - Information will be forwarded to you soon.

Cancellation Policy: We know things happen, but if for some reason you need to cancel after you have booked your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. The retreat is only fully refundable 60 days in advance of the start date. In the event that you are past the 60-day notice and are unable to attend, you may transfer your reservation to someone else or move to another retreat at a later date within the next year.
