Tami Jones & MSQC Mini Sewcial

Get ready for a retreat packed with fun, laughter and plenty of stitching with Tami Jones of Hometown Quilt Company.  A wife, mom and lifelong maker, Tami learned to sew from her grandmother and has spent the last 20 years sharing this love of sewing and making with others  You might have seen her high energy tutorials on Tik Tok and Facebook and now you can spend a few unforgettable days sewing right alongside her in Hamilton, Missouri!

This retreat promises lots of fun, sharing stories and making memories as Tami will teach you how to make one of her famous rag quilts (and you’ll do plenty of back stitching at the end of your seams “because her grandma told her so”).

We have worked with Tami to plan some special activities that we know you will love for this intimate retreat (the maximum number of guests is 35) so rest assured that you’ll have lots of time with Tami and leave with so many new best friends!

What to Expect From MSQC:

Sleeping Rooms - 10 rooms are upstairs and are shared - there are no private rooms available and a chair lift is available for assistance. There are two ADA rooms available on the first floor upon request. If you require ADA accessible rooms, please give us a call at 816-265-1812.

Meals - For Early Bird Arrivals:

• Monday evening: A light dinner will be served.
• Tuesday morning: Enjoy a continental breakfast.

For All Guests:

• Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: Continental breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided.
• Friday morning: A hot farewell breakfast awaits before your departure!

Sewing Machines - As we have said above, you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine (don't forget all your cords)!! But if you want to travel light, you can absolutely reserve one of our machines for your use during the duration of the retreat. If you do need to reserve a machine, please indicate this on your registration form. Sewing machine rental fees will not be charged in 2026.

Open Sew: There will be plenty of time to work on your own projects, so please bring those UFO's to work on. We love seeing what you are creating. We will incorporate a small Make 'N Take into this open sew time.

Cancellation Policy - We know things happen, but if for some reason you need to cancel after you have booked your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. The retreat is only fully refundable 60 days in advance of the start date. In the event that you are past the 60-day notice and are unable to attend, you may transfer your reservation to someone else or move to another retreat at a later date.
