The Queer Cellar: A Study in Taste
About this Event
Art isn't only meant to be seen.
For one evening, Queer Cellar is taking the table out of the dining room and into Collective Z, a contemporary gallery on Broome Street.
A Study in Taste is an intimate exploration of art through food and wine. Selected works throughout the gallery will become the starting point for a series of culinary bites and thoughtful wine pairings: each interpreting something different from the work: color, texture, movement, emotion, memory, or place.
This isn't dinner beside the art.
The art is part of the menu.
Throughout the evening, guests will move through the gallery, taste, pour, and discover the stories connecting what's on the wall to what's in the glass and on the plate.
No art degree required. No wine expertise expected.
Just curiosity.
Come hungry. Come curious. Leave having experienced the work, and hopefully knowing someone you didn't know before.
Your ticket includes
• A curated progression of art-inspired culinary bites
• Guided wine pairings selected for each interpretation
• Access to the gallery and featured exhibition
