Kick off the new year with She Unites! We welcome Briana Thompson to the She Unites stage at the Innovation Lab on Wednesday, January 15 at 6:30 P.M.
About Briana:
Briana Thompson is a trailblazing Photographer, Creative Director, and Community Organizer based in Dubuque, Iowa. As the Founder & CEO of Art For Us and Owner of BriX Creative Studio, she is the first Black woman to establish a photography business in the city, bringing over a decade of expertise in photography, event programming, and strategic planning. Briana is the visionary behind impactful initiatives like the Black As You Are Art & Poetry Showcase and the Art For Us Fashion Show, both of which celebrate diversity and creativity. A passionate advocate for the arts, she serves on several local boards and committees, including Dubuque’s Art On The River and the Multicultural Family Center’s Juneteenth committee. Through her work, Briana has engaged thousands in meaningful cultural experiences, fostering inclusivity and empowering the next generation of creative professionals.
