Creatives Café — #7

Creatives Café is a FREE opportunity for local creatives like yourself to gather over conversations about creativity and community! Through hosting these quarterly networking events, we hope to build a resilient, more connected network among artists of all kinds that call Dubuque home!

This event brings together 30 - 40 intentionally curated guest of diverse races, ages, experiences, and creative interests.

We’ll supply the table topics and play a bit of musical chairs throughout the evening so we move around and talk with everyone. These aren’t planning meetings or pitch events, just a fun opportunity for local creatives and culture bearers to convene over food, drink, and fun conversation to build community and connections!

The Creatives Café is FREE to attend, with complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar will be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring promotional materials such as business cards, event fliers, or similar to share with up to 40 people.

Following the Creatives Café, Smokestack will be hosting a Thirsty Thursday Open Mic event starting at 8pm. This event is also free.

** The Creatives Café is being hosted by members of the Arts & Culture Master Plan Accessibility, Engagement, and Inclusion Working Group in collaboration with the City of Dubuque’s Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs with funding from the Government Alliance on Race & Equity.
