About this Event
The Pomegranate London: Issue 11 Launch
Join the magazine’s editor, contributors and guests at Westminster Music Library on Wednesday 4th Nov for an evening exploring the interplay of literature, opera and jazz, with live readings and musical improvisation.
The Pomegranate London returns to celebrate the launch of Issue 11 of its independent art and literary magazine, featuring short stories, poems and essays on artists and their work.
Soprano Harriet Cameron and jazz pianist and composer Marco Marconi present a collaborative performance bringing operatic repertoire into dialogue with jazz, exploring the musical possibilities between the two traditions.
The launch will feature readings by four distinguished poets: Mary Mulholland, Janet Sutherland, Miranda Peake and Joseph Long, whose work appears in the new issue.
The evening will also include two new initiatives launching in January 2027: the annual Poetry Plays competition, with its £1,000 prize, and The Pomegranate Lab, a network bringing artists together across creative disciplines.
Copies of Issue 11 will be available to purchase, and there will be an opportunity to meet the magazine’s team and contributors. Whether a regular reader of The Pomegranate London or curious about contemporary writing, opera, jazz and the visual arts, everyone is welcome!
