About this Event

Nine months ago, ten of the foremost UK experts briefed politicians, media, businesses and community leaders on the threats posed by climate change and nature loss, and the opportunities from genuine emergency action. The briefing has been adapted into this film “The People’s Emergency Briefing”. This is one of thousands of screenings aiming to arouse public awareness and increase pressure on decision-makers to rise to the urgent challenge.
The film's trailer can be seen on You Tube:

What’s happening to the climate and nature resources? What do these changes mean for us? This eye-opening film brings together the latest scientific evidence on what's changing and, crucially, how it affects us all, including:
🌧️ Extreme weather events
🍞 Food insecurity
🏥 Threats to our health
💷 Impact on cost of living

The film of the National Emergency Briefing (covered by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) includes appearances by Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, UK experts and a range of voices from across the UK.
The post-screening discussion will address what it all means for our community and what we can do locally in response to this emergency.
Bring a friend, neighbour or family member. All are welcome for this free event.
Screening sponsored by Croydon TUC and Croydon Assembly
