The Music Quintet makes its Truckee debut at Truckee High School on July 8 at 1pm. Bring your instrument! The performance, followed by a workshop, is free and open to all. The Music Quintet is a free-improvising ensemble formed from alumni of the Oberlin Conservatory. Founded in 2022, the group quickly gained recognition for their creative approach and dynamic energy. Collaborating with luminaries like Gerald Cannon, Nicole Mitchell, and Chris Coles, they released their debut album, "Plays Music," to critical acclaim in July 2022. Their sophomore album, "Mendis," is eagerly anticipated for summer 2024.
