Materials for the Arts and The Moth Community Team present Frankenstein: open-mic storytelling combined with a halloween costume exchange!
About this Event

Join The Moth Community Team at the Materials for the Arts warehouse in Long Island City for a StorySLAM and halloween costume exchange.

Attendees are welcome to bring clean and gently used costuming —whether it be accessories or head-to-toe ensembles— to trade with others from 6:00 to 7:00pm.

Our theme of the evening is FRANKENSTEIN: Creature or Creation? Stories of transformation, imagination, and something made from nothing. Of the strange, beautiful, and alive!

6:00 PM - Doors Open for Costume Exchange

7:00 PM - Stories Begin

Suggested Ticket Donation: $5

*To purchase multiple tickets, please complete separate transactions. This is an eventbrite requirement we can't change.

**All tickets are seated on a first-come-first-served basis. Seating is not guaranteed.

The Moth Community StorySLAM is a project of the Moth Community Engagagement Program, meant to create a welcoming space for hearing and sharing stories. Tickets are donation-based, and stories are not judged or scored.

Materials for the Arts, NYC's largest creative reuse center, provides NYC arts nonprofits, public schools and City agencies with access to free materials.
