The Modern Irish Table (cookery experience)

Beyond the Cottage: An Irish Table
Inspired by Danielle's travels through the Irish countryside and the incredible ingredients, farmers, bakers, cheesemakers, and artisans found along the way, this intimate cookery experience celebrates what the Ireland locals know best—simple, seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking rooted in hospitality and shared around the table.
Rather than recreating the Irish-American classics many of us are familiar with, you'll prepare a thoughtfully curated menu inspired by modern Ireland using authentic Irish ingredients whenever possible, alongside the best seasonal ingredients we can source here at home.
This is more than a cooking class—it's an evening of preparing, gathering, and dining together.
Your experience includes:
A seasonal menu inspired by the flavors of Ireland (menu announced prior to class)
A hands-on cooking experience preparing each course together
A welcoming appetizer to begin the evening
Freshly baked artisan bread served warm from the oven
A thoughtfully prepared seasonal main course
A beautiful dessert inspired by Irish baking traditions
Complimentary handcrafted cocktails and mocktails throughout the experience
A complimentary wine pairing selected to complement the main course
Stories of Ireland's food culture, traditions, and the remarkable producers who inspire each dish
Plenty of practical cooking techniques, tips, and recipes to recreate the meal at home
An intimate community table where conversation, connection, and hospitality are just as important as the food
Whether you come with friends or arrive on your own, you'll leave with new recipes, new skills, and perhaps a few new friends around the table.
No prior cooking experience is necessary. Adults ages 21+ are welcome for wine and cocktails; guests ages 15–20 are welcome to enjoy our complimentary mocktails.
"At Nellie's, we believe the best meals aren't just eaten—they're shared."
