The Main, from Parc du Portugal to Mile End – Historical tours of The Main
About this Event
The Main, from Parc du Portugal to Mile End
Between the Parc du Portugal and the Mile End church, the Saint-Laurent road has always been the main connecting route. It was along this road that urban development stretched out to create the villages of Saint-Jean-Baptiste and Saint-Louis-du-Mile End. The road became Saint-Laurent Boulevard in 1905, and ever since has remained an axis of Montreal's diversity and creativity. A walk of an hour and a half to discover traces of the past and the dynamism of the present, architecture, history, culture and heritage of a short segment of a great street.
End point: St-Laurent/Laurier
Tour offered as part of ”Historical tours of The Main“ by The Main and Mile End Memories in collaboration with the Société de développement du boulevard Saint-Laurent
