This stunning collection, “The Light Within Her,” is inspired by the timeless elegance of Alphonse Mucha and Gustav Klimt — masters who captured a beauty that feels almost undefinable.
Drawing from decades of artistic practice, Deborah Elmquist explores how atmosphere, light, and color interact with form to awaken deep emotions connected to memory and time. Each figure in the series embodies a dreamlike state — once lost, once beautiful, and now beautifully resurrected in shimmering gold, flowing lines, and luminous color.
