The Hereford Military History Festival
About this Event
The Hereford Military History Festival launched in September 2025 to universal acclaim, attracting some of the world's best-known military historians, speakers, war correspondents and strategic thinkers and bringing together audiences of around 5,000 people over three days in the centre of Hereford's medieval city. This year, the festival is building its scope and scale and creating a platform for nearly 60 events, including panel discussions and debates on some of the most important geopolitical issues of our time, a sweep of military history from the ancient Greeks and Spartans to the wars of the 20th and 21st centuries and parallel events, including a historic military vehicle display and a family-friendly military history fair.
The Founder and Managing Director of the Hereford Military History Festival, Christian Dangerfield, will be hosting an event on the 23rd July to talk about the long-term vision of the festival and why it matters now, not just to Herefordshire but also to the wider region.
