The Great Storybook Adventure - Summer Camp for 3-5y

What kind of summer camp is this?

Join us as we page through a new book each day to speech and language development. We will incorporate themed activities designed to support preschool age children in developing their abilities to follow directions, understand and use descriptive language, sequence stories and retell, use age appropriate speech sounds and engage in phonological awareness activities such as rhyming, syllable awareness as well as early blending and segmenting skills. This clinic based camp will be led by a Speech Language Pathologist.

• Half Day: 9am - 1pm

Where will the camp take place?

This camp will take place at our location in downtown Cochrane.

Is this camp a good fit for my child?

Following registration through Eventbrite, registrants will receive an intake form from Ascend Pediatrics to verify participants meet the developmental and health requirements for safe camp attendance.

Registrants should:

• Be able to independently use the washroom for all purposes (we expect to have to remind kids to go and to wash hands!)
• Not pose a heightened risk of elopement (bolting/running off)
• Be prepared for light physical activity

If it is determined that your child requires an individual support person to accompany them for safe camp attendance, this will be your responsiblity to arrange.
