About this Event
The Giving Black Soirée is a celebratory gathering — a special evening marking the successful conclusion of another transformative Giving Black Conference. This intimate get-together is where thought leaders, innovators, and changemakers from across the Toronto's social good community come together to reflect, connect, and celebrate the impact of Black generosity.
This year’s Soirée features a special presentation by Olumide Akerewusi and Dr. Camila Pereira, the lead researchers behind Fundraising While Black: Hurt, Happiness, Healing. A new study exploring the experinces of Black fundraisers in Canada and USA. Each guest will receive an exclusive printed copy of the full report and an opportunity to engage directly with the researchers as they share key findings and practical recommendations for organizations.
In the spirit of mutual aid, a modest $20 donation will be collected in support of Wanasah, the Black youth mental health agency making a profound difference in our community.
Contributions can be made in advance or at the door.
Come for the insight. Stay for the connection. Leave inspired — and part of a movement shaping the future of Black philanthropy.
Dress Code: Traditional or Smart Casual.
